Holiday House is a
program where local groups and individuals raise money throughout the
year to make it possible to purchase presents for children who might not
otherwise have any presents under their tree on Christmas morning.
This year the Fayette Rotary Club provided $2000 to Holiday House.
Half of the gift came in the form of a grant from Rotary District 6080
and half of the money was raised by the local club. In the
picture, Henry Graham, representing the Fayette Rotary Club, presents
Carolyne Peery, representing the local Holiday House, with a check for
$1000. The grant money was passed along to Holiday House at an earlier
date. Members of the Fayette Club also assisted many other
volunteers with the distribution of the wares on December 11, 2010. |
