Fayette High School senior Eli Tinker-Fortel brought
brief remarks last Wednesday afternoon (August 19) to members of the
Fayette Rotary Club.
Eli left August 25 for France where he will
study as a Rotary exchange student for the 2009-10 school year.
He will live with one or more families in a small town (Les Arcs) of about 8,000
population in the south of part of the country near Nice.
The son of Hope Tinker and David Fortel, he has been
active in theatrical productions here, in addition to other school,
church and community activities.
Eli is sponsored by the local club as part of Rotary
International's Youth Foreign Exchange Program. (This
